Mission to Educate

Education and life skills are vital for impoverished communities to better themselves. Part of Paparao’s vision is to build a solid foundation for rural communities by giving not only the technical aspects of learning a language, mathematics or science, but a holistic approach, where factors of clothing, nutrition and counselling are being incorporated. MTN has a vision to create 100 schools based in rural locations where its impact will empower the future development of the communities, many of which are victims of illiteracy, abuse, corruption and circumstance. Foundation shares the vision of MTN on this very emotive issue, as part of its ongoing funding programme, are in the process of raising funds to build schools and purchase IT and communication equipment. This provides the children shelter and a vision of life outside of the current circumstance giving them vital platforms to build their hopes and aspirations.
